What Is the Snowflake Marketplace Capacity Drawdown Program?

Before explaining what this means for Hevo customers, here’s a simple explanation of the MCD Program.

The Snowflake Marketplace Capacity Drawdown Program allows Snowflake customers to use the money they have already committed to Snowflake to purchase partner solutions from the Snowflake Marketplace. Instead of starting a new buying process with separate contracts, budgets, and approvals, they can use their existing Snowflake commitment to pay for additional tools.

In short, it makes purchasing easier and faster, and helps teams get more value from the Snowflake investment they have already made.

Hevo on the Snowflake Marketplace MCD Program

Hevo can be accessed directly through the Snowflake Marketplace. Here’s how to access it:

Prerequisites

  • Your Snowflake account has access to Snowflake Marketplace.
  • You have the ACCOUNTADMIN role or a role with the PURCHASE DATA EXCHANGE LISTING privilege.
  • Your organization is eligible to use Marketplace Capacity Drawdown (MCD).

Steps to Subscribe to Hevo Using Snowflake Marketplace

  1. Schedule a call with Hevo and provide details of your requirements, such as pricing, contract duration, or payment terms.
  2. Provide your Snowflake account identifier to the Hevo team so a private offer can be extended to your account. This identifier can be either your account locator or your full Snowflake account name. Read Account identifiers.

Hevo creates a customized private offer and shares the private offer link with you.

  1. Log in to Snowsight.
  2. Set your role to either:
    1. ACCOUNTADMIN, or
    2. a role with the PURCHASE DATA EXCHANGE LISTING privilege.
  3. Open the private offer link shared by Hevo.
  4. On the Review Private offer page, review the offer details, and click Accept Offer.

  1. Once the purchase is completed, Snowflake displays an order confirmation. Hevo activates your subscription after reviewing the purchase and invoice details. Once done, billing is managed by Snowflake and the Hevo billing pages are accordingly modified.
  2. Log in to your Hevo account and view one of the Billing pages, such as Billing History, in the Hevo app to confirm that your billing and related details are managed by Snowflake.
