Airmeet is a virtual events platform that helps businesses, communities, and organizations host interactive, engaging online events that simulate in-person experiences. With advanced features, Airmeet enables users to create immersive virtual environments that support a variety of use cases, including webinars, conferences, learning and development, town halls, virtual job fairs, community meetups, sales kickoffs, and many more.
Airmeet’s core analytics team consists of four members, with Nitesh Soni as the Associate Director of Data Analytics and Gaurav Chawla as the Senior Manager of Data Analytics. While their data engineering team previously built native connectors to ingest data from various sources, managing these connectors became a bandwidth challenge as the company scaled. The team now manages data replication with 12-13 data sources, including Hubspot, Google Analytics, and MongoDB.
Airmeet’s Current Data Stack
Airmeet’s modern data stack now includes multiple sources such as Hubspot, Freshdesk, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console, with Snowflake as the central data warehouse and Tableau as the analytics and visualization tool. The stack enables the team to generate reports for key business functions:
Sales Reports: Tracking sales funnel performance, inbound vs. outbound channels, conversion stages, and closed lost/won deals analysis.
Marketing Reports: Webinar lead analysis, paid channel ROI, and customer requirements.
Customer Support Reports: Tracking product usage, support tickets, and customer satisfaction.
SEO and Product Analytics: Improving search rankings and analyzing organic traffic growth.
Executive Reports: Weekly business reviews and cohort analysis to drive decision-making.
With the integration provided by Hevo, reports are generally updated every 3-4 hours across use cases, ensuring visibility into business performance across departments.
Evolution of Airmeet’s Data Stack
In the early stages, Airmeet used PostgreSQL as its primary database. As the company expanded, it added more databases and initially relied on Tableau for reporting. However, as the data volume grew, Tableau's processing time became an issue, with report turnaround taking over a day. This delay pushed them to migrate to Snowflake, enabling faster data processing.
As Airmeet's focus shifted to acquiring paid customers, it faced increasing demands for data on paid customer behavior, which was stored in Microsoft DB linked to Hubspot. However, querying this database was slow, which negatively impacted the performance of downstream Tableau dashboards. To address these challenges, Airmeet explored using Fivetran to structure its data analytics process but faced limitations with data retrieval, customer experience, and high costs. Consequently, they switched to Hevo Data, which offered better reliability, faster response times, and cost-efficient pricing.
Why Airmeet Chose Hevo?
After facing limitations with their previous tools, Airmeet evaluated several data integration solutions before selecting Hevo. Their decision was driven by several critical factors:
Zero Downtime: Airmeet needed a reliable tool to ensure uninterrupted data flow without impacting business operations.
Cost Efficiency: Hevo offered a more cost-efficient solution than alternatives like Fivetran, which had high costs for scaling data operations.
Excellent Support: Airmeet appreciated Hevo’s quick and helpful support team, ensuring that any issues were promptly addressed.
Ease of Use: Hevo’s user-friendly interface allowed the team to manage data pipelines without frequent intervention or technical hassle.
The key priority was ensuring that business operations continued without any hurdles. Even a day of downtime would not only disrupt the business but also affect the credibility of the entire team. We needed a tool that could scale with us, provide strong support, and allow us to get the data seamlessly without any technical hassle. Hevo was the solution for us.
Business Impact
Since implementing Hevo, Airmeet has seen significant improvements in its data operations:
Increased organic traffic by 30-40%: Hevo’s seamless integration of search analytics allowed Airmeet to analyze keywords and blog performance, resulting in a substantial boost in organic search traffic.
Improved decision-making: The team has detailed visibility into why deals are lost, helping them make informed decisions on product roadmap prioritization, feature development, and pricing strategies.
Higher data reliability: Dashboards are updated accurately and efficiently, enabling quick organizational decision-making.
With Hevo continuing to provide seamless data integration, Airmeet is poised to leverage these insights for future growth.
