Frequently asked questions

Hevo credits are used to pay for the consumption of Hevo services. A credit is the smallest unit of charge, consumed when a customer uses Hevo. Hevo credits are charged based on the number of events (see consumption chart and calculator for conversion between events and credits).
With capacity commitment, you need to estimate the amount of credit consumed over the commitment period (typically 1 year). You can then purchase these credits upfront and consume the credits over the commitment period. You can typically see savings from 30% to 50% compared to paying for the same usage on the monthly pay as you go plan. The longer the commitment the larger the savings.
At the end of the commitment period, whatever remaining credits will roll over as long as you make another commitment at the same or higher level.
For the first full billing period, your consumption will be charged at the same tier as your capacity commitment agreement (in other words you will continue to enjoy the savings from your capacity commitment). If you do not renew your commitment before the start of the second billing you will be moved to the monthly pay-as-you-go plan and you will lose any savings from the capacity commitment.
