The first step in Airtable Twitter Ads Integration is to set up Airtable workspace. If you don’t have an account on Airtable, then sign up here. You will also need a Twitter account. You will now have to create a new workplace and name it. This is the Airtable base where you will organize the posts that you’d like to tweet out.

Step 2: Set Up Tables and Fields

In your Airtable base, create a table named Tweets that will have all the posts that you would tweet. Following are the few columns that will be required in this table:

  • Long Text Field: This contains the text of each tweet.
  • Single Select Field: This contains the options to filter the status of each tweet like ‘Approved’ which signifies that the tweet is ready to be posted at the right time, ‘Ready to Publish’ which means that you would like to post when you want to and ‘Posted’ which states that the tweet has already been posted.
  • Attachment Field: This is the optional field, in which you can put the image files to be posted. Images come a lot in handy in Twitter Ads, as it helps in better engagement with the user.
  • Formula Field: This column keeps a check on the character length strictly followed by Twitter and alerts you if you have exceeded it.

  2. Now, select the Twitter account from which you want to post.

  1. Click the blue + button in the “Message” section. This allows you to insert the variables from the Trigger step.
  2. Now, select the “Record” and click the “Continue”
  3. Out of the list of various fields now visible, select the text field variable name in which you had entered the text for the post.
  4. Next, click the “Insert” button.
  5. Now, run a test to ensure that everything is perfect.
  6. Click on “Done” when everything is good.

Step 7: Set Up an Update Record Action

After posting the tweet, we need to update the status of our tweet from “Ready to Publish” to “Posted”. So follow the below steps:
