Step 1: Go to the Products Screen

On the right-side panel of your Shopify admin page, select Products and All products. This will get you to the Products page.

The next two steps (Step 2 and Step 3) are not mandatory. You can use them if you need them to perform Shopify Export Products Data.

Step 2: Search and Filter

Now you will see all of the products on the screen.

If you want to filter the products to the ones you want to export, you can click on Filter. You can select from the various options in the filter drop-down. For example, you can select Tagged with and filter by a given word (Eg: Shoes). After you apply a filter, you will only see the products you have filtered down to.

If you want to select all of the items that lie in between two items, first click on the checkbox next to the first item, hold the shift key and select the item till which you want to export.

This will automatically select both of the items you selected along with all the other items that lie in between these two.

For example, if you want to select all the items from item no. 10 to item no. 20, select item no. 10, hold the shift key, and select item no. 20.

Case 3: Select All Items on a Page

At the top of the item lists, there is a master checkbox. Click this checkbox to select all the items on a page.

Case 4: Select All Items

Click on the master checkbox and then click on Select all 50+ items from your store.

Step 4: Export Options

Click on Export. You get to choose from 4 options that you want for Shopify Export Products Data.

  • Current page: All the products in the current page.
  • All products: All of your products.
  • Selected products: The specific products you selected using the checkboxes.
  • Products matching search: The product that matches the search.

Step 5: Select the Type of CSV File to Export

If you plan on using a spreadsheet program to edit the CSV file, select CSV file for Excel, Numbers, or another spreadsheet program.

If you are using a plain text editor with your CSV file, select the Plain CSV file option.

Step 6: Export Products

Finally, click on Export products.

If you export up to one page of products (50 products), then your browser will directly download the CSV file. But for more than that, the file will not be directly downloaded, instead, it will be emailed to you.
